Copy a Google Forms quiz into Quiz Converter

Google Forms has no "download questions" button. This short script, run in your own Google account, copies a quiz's questions, choices, points and answer key into a Google Sheet. You then upload that sheet to Quiz Converter.

  1. Open script.google.com → New project.
  2. Delete the sample code, then paste in the script below (use Copy script).
  3. Open your form in edit mode, copy its address from the browser bar, and paste it in place of PASTE_YOUR_FORM_EDIT_LINK_HERE.
  4. Click Save, make sure exportQuiz is selected, then click Run. The first time, Google asks you to review permissions. Choose your account and allow access.
  5. Open the sheet link printed in the Execution log, then choose File → Download → Microsoft Excel (.xlsx).
  6. Upload the downloaded file to Quiz Converter.

Google doesn't let scripts read the answer key for short answer questions. Add those answers on the review screen.
